Our history

starts in 1901

The first stone of Villa Bontekoe is laid by former mayor A. Bontekoe on 18th of April 1901. This mayor had an eye for various building styles, which can be seen in his former residence. Next to the diversity of various authentic ceilings, is the majestic mayor residence standing out among the smaller farmhouses.

Not much information is known about this mayor or the history of the villa.

This website is not only a calling card for Villa Bontekoe, but also an attempt to obtain more historical information about Mayor Bontekoe and the villa.
